Hope for Healing

Dear Readers,

I would like to ask you all to bind together with me in prayer. My step-father has just been diagnosed with cancer. Naturally, we are all a little scared. If you could take a moment to send up a prayer for him I would really appreciate it. Pray that he has peace, that he and his doctors have wisdom in treating the cancer, and that he will be healed. Most of all, please pray for his salvation. I believe that the Lord is going to use this diagnosis to draw him and my mother into His family. Our God is able! Thank you.

In His Love,
Rebekah L.

  1. Amen. Agreeing with you in prayer for healing of your dad’s body and soul… from someone whose dad has been living with cancer for nearly five years. Praying you will sense His loving presence even more now than before.

  2. I have been fighting colon cancer and I know how much prayer helps. Will be praying for your step-father. What the enemy meant for ill God will use it for good and His glory.

  3. Hi Rebekah, our God is the everlasting God, he comforts those in need.

The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. (Isaiah 40:28-31)

    Hallejuah. Be bold and courageous!

  4. Lord, you are the Healer, the Mighty Counselor, Prince of Peace, our Everlasting Father. We pray that you calm the heart and soul of this man who needs to know You are with him through this struggle. And Lord, guide the hands of his doctors as they work to treat the cancer that threatens his body, Lord. Lord, you have worked miracles through medicine before, used the talented minds of doctors, nurses, therapists to treat illnesses and heal those who suffer and even those who were dead and are now alive. I pray that you work a miracle for this man, but most importantly I pray that your will be done. And may you grant him and his family peace that you are with them no matter what the result may be and that you are always at work in our lives even through the struggles.

We pray this in your blessed and Holy name,

    Amen.
